Portrait Commissions

Artist in residence, Jennifer Webb, has been painting people since she was 11 yrs old. The first people she drew were unsuspecting classmates, after that there was a phase of painting koori people, mainly elders and children .

During her time living in Brazil, she was once again drawn to portraying the indigenous and the African-Brazilians, particularly within their unique culture.

When you commission a portrait through Port Art , you do so knowing that a story will be told, so if a sitting is not possible with the subject at the studios, the ideal photographic reference would be of not just one view but several, with good quality lighting.
