Just like understanding basic anatomy, if you are to excel at painting the figure, observing and studying the shapes and forms of the trees that you want to paint is essential in achieving pleasing and effective results. Understanding colour harmony and some paint application techniques can really make all the difference as well.
This module is based on Australian gum trees and is just one interpretation of them in acrylic paints. (Bonus project of tree, water, rocks)
