How can these outdoor artworks stay out in the weather?

ANSWER - Specialised synthetic substrates, the most lightfast pigments, layered with special additives & layers to make the finished painting resistant to the elements. Our artists use a very specific combination of techniques and approaches, to cover mostly the same themes and subjects that they do in regular kinds of materials for indoors. The outdoor paintings also come with extra secure hanging hardware.

What would you like in a custom painting for outdoors?

Can I commission an outdoor-ready painting of a certain size or theme?

Each of the artists of the Port Art collective accepts custom commissions. You can request a Size, series, substrate etc through our Commissions Form (button below). We display some outdoor paintings in our outdoor gallery, but most paintings are created as custom commissions. The Commission process begins with providing photos of your walls that you wish to commission outdoor artworks for (as it does with any art commission). We have a lot of experience in determining the maximum detail in order to fulfil your wishes in your personalised painting.

What if these outdoor paintings get dirty hanging in the outdoors?

The unique combination of substrates, materials and processes utilised in the creation of our specialised paintings for outdoor entertaining areas allow for simple wiping over, even hosing down. Hanging and care instructions are provided with every piece, as well as a Certificate of Authenticity.
