About Us
FOUNDATION
Port Art Gallery, representing local artists paintings and interstate artists as well, was founded by fine artist Jennifer Webb in 2005. Established as as a bricks-and-mortar commercial gallery in Bay Street, Port Melbourne, during the pandemonium of the COVID lockdowns, the art facility was moved to a purpose-built private facility. Here, the practice of promoting the artists of the collective online through Port Art website and by appointment at the private art rooms, was established.
Local Melbourne artists from early to mid-career make up the collective of Port Art artists, with associated artists' work available in addition.

Mission Statement
For nearly 2 decades, the mission statement of Port Art has been to represent early and mid-career artists in a modest-sized, mostly Melbourne-based art collective, while personally assisting clients to access the diverse selection of both original artworks and more affordable reproductions on canvas and paper. This is how we are able to provide a diverse range of price points, as we recognise that every collector has their own goals, tastes and available budget when collecting artwork for their homes and offices. Lay-by and Afterpay are also services we use to help our collectors get the artwork on their walls sooner and pay later, when necessary.

Outdoor Paintings for Sale & Commission
For 15 years there has also been collaborative development of specialised outdoor-ready materials and substrates, allowing our collectors to bring their love of art to their outdoor entertaining areas. At the art rooms, a small array of outdoor artworks is displayed, but the majority of outdoor paintings are created as personalised commissions to the exact needs of each client and their outdoor entertaining area
Affordable Artworks Online
.If you are browsing online for more affordable artworks, custom order directly from our limited edition print section. Affordable means different things to everyone, in art as in all things,but the most affordable of all are always the reproductions. When our artists select a sold or favourite work to be made available for a Limited Edition series, we arrange for custom-ordered professional reproductions in these limited edition series, both on watercolour paper and on canvas (the canvas editions are also mostly ***hand-embellished by the artist.)
